HOW TO RESET ROKU TV

To reset your Roku TV, you have a couple of options: a soft reset and a factory reset. Here’s how to do both:

Soft Reset

If your Roku TV is unresponsive, you can perform a soft reset:

  1. Unplug the TV: Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Wait a Moment: Leave it unplugged for about 10 seconds.
  3. Plug It Back In: Reconnect the power cord to the outlet.
  4. Turn on the TV: Press the power button to turn it back on.

Factory Reset

If you want to erase all settings and start fresh, use the factory reset option:

Using the Menu:

  1. Press the Home Button: On your remote, press the Home
  2. Navigate to Settings: Scroll down and select Settings.
  3. Select System: Go to System.
  4. Choose Advanced system settings: Scroll down and select Advanced system settings.
  5. Select Factory Reset: Choose Factory reset.
  6. Confirm Reset: Follow the prompts to confirm the factory reset. You may need to enter a code.

Using the Physical Reset Button:

  1. Locate the Reset Button: Find the physical reset button on your Roku TV (usually at the back or bottom).
  2. Press and Hold: Press and hold the reset button for about 10-15 seconds until you see the Roku logo on the screen.
  3. Release the Button: Release the button, and the TV will reset.

Important Note

A factory reset will erase all your personal settings, channels, and preferences, so use it as a last resort. After the reset, you’ll need to set up your Roku TV again.

You can reset your Roku TV in two ways: Soft Reset (Restart) or Factory Reset (erases everything and restores it to default settings).

Soft Reset (Restart Roku TV) – If It’s Frozen or Slow

Method 2: Hard Reset with the Reset Button

  2. Press and hold the button for 10-30 seconds(use a paperclip if needed).
  3. Release it when the TV turns off and on againwith the Roku logo appearing.
  4. Your TV is now fully reset.
